Belmond wins Luxury Category in The Good Web Guide Awards 2017

London, 8 November 2017: Matter Of Form’s (MOF) delivery of the first phase of an exciting brand revitalisation, digital and data strategy project for Belmond has resulted in the travel company’s new website winning the Luxury Category in the Good Web Guide (GWG) Awards 2017.

The prestigious GWG Awards are presented to websites that showcase excellence in their field. On welcoming guests at the awards ceremony held at The Royal Institution of Great Britain, Arabella Dymoke from GWG said "I liken our Awards to the Man Booker for websites. They are thoughtful and considered, rewarding really interesting sites, ones that we want to use ourselves or to tell others about."

The new website brings together Belmond’s global collection of 46 iconic hotels, trains and river cruises comprising the worlds most thrilling journeys and destinations, from the Orient Express to the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro. The new site gives travellers the freedom to explore and discover Belmond’s range of exclusive escapes, enjoying the wonder of the world’s most exciting journeys before making a holiday booking.

A robust technology and data strategy underpins the new website to support Belmond’s ambitious growth plans. By 2020, Belmond aims to double the number of experiences it provides around the world, onboarding a new property or journey to its travel portfolio on a monthly basis.

Anant Sharma, CEO of MOF, comments: “We are over the moon to have won this award and delighted to have the opportunity to have worked with such a wonderfully quirky brand, and a team so open to confident creativity. This launch marks the first phase in an era of change, and MOF will support the brand through a period of rapid growth, delineated by a robust property acquisition strategy and product innovation.
