We are delighted to announce our work for Borough Kitchen won the 'Food & Drink' category at The Good Web Guide Awards last night. The prestigious awards are presented to websites that demonstrate excellence in their field.
Opening its doors in 2013, Borough Kitchen has evolved to become one of the UK’s leading high-quality kitchenware stores. With quality over quantity as one of their core values, Borough Kitchen only stocks best-in-class products from global and lesser-known brands.
Borough Kitchen approached MOF Group in 2018 to help with various technical, security and performance issues. With a large number of products and a high amount of traffic, the site was not operating as it should and subsequently was either losing customers and sales or leaving the website or customer data at risk.
With the re-design, the infrastructure was optimised to achieve the best performance and security possible, without having to migrate the website to another hosting platform. This resulted in a stable web application that no longer failed under heavy traffic.
Following the resolution of the technical faults, MOF Group worked with Borough Kitchen to redesign the whole front-end of the website with the aim of improving user experience and in turn, increasing conversion.

The attention to detail is high, from photography to site structure. It's easy to find what you're looking for, and it's very hard not to stick around and buy. For this reason - delivering to their customers' needs. Their website is very clean and incredibly easy to use. Every part has been well designed and considered, and lots of thought has been put into making it a great user experience. The extra detail and finer details make this a worthy winner of the category for 2019."
